Kind Boys Club

Founded in 2019, the Kind Boys Club is so much more than a t-shirt. We are a movement of like-minded parents raising the next generation.

If you’ve been around since 2019 you’ll know that I began the Kind Boys Club by embroidering the tees from our Brunswick home, usually with my own kind boy squished up with me on the couch. With every stitch I imagined a new world for him and boys like him. Rupert was just two years old then. Now he is six and at primary school, spending more time with his peers and teachers than our family. It is truly bittersweet, sending him off into the world. But I know that we have given him a solid foundation of love and self-love.

The Kind Boys Club is not about raising little gentlemen who will wear suits and hold open doors for pretty girls. We are about raising true allies in the fight against the patriarchy, boys who know how to listen, learn and do their fair share in homes, workplaces and communities around the world.

The Kind Boys Club is also proudly trans, non-binary and gender-queer inclusive.

Our boys will grow up knowing it’s okay not to be a tough guy; that they can express a full range of emotions. Our boys will grow up kind and gentle. They will hug and kiss and wear pink if they want to. They will twirl and dance and nurse dolls if they want to.

Our boys will change the world.

Thank you for joining us,

Kate Bullen-Casanova
Founder of the original Kind Boys Club 2019.

Testimonials

“When I became pregnant with a boy, I found Kate and her incredible message after many awful comments not to raise a ‘pansy’ and to treat a little boy differently than a little girl. Kate’s message and whole ethos filled me with light and positivity. I am so grateful I stumbled across Kate and the Kind Boys Club.”

— Taylor, Mum to Milo, (age 2)

“Raising a Kind Boy is one of the most important goals of my life. I love knowing there’s a team of other people out there who are growing Kind Boys as well.”

— Clementine Ford,
Author, Broadcaster and Mum to one Kind Boy (age 6)

“The Kind Boys Club to me means raising the future generation to acknowledge their privileges and to be kind to all, to challenge (and smash) systems that are biased, and to live in a world that celebrates people for their individualities.”

— Emma, Mum to twins Blake and Will (age 5 months)

The Kind Boys Club celebrates boys for all their qualities, including empathy, gentleness, compassion and equality. It is a community filled with likeminded parents who want to raise their boys gently. It is wonderful to be here!”
